Aldroen refused the crown for himself, but recommended instead that the Britons accept Aldroen’s younger brother Constantine, along with two thousand soldiers. Archbishop Guithelin accepted this offer on behalf of the nobles of Britain.
Aldroen is only mentioned in accounts of how Constantine became King of Great Britain.
