Le roman de Tristan en prose (version du manuscrit fr. 757 de la Bibliothèque nationale de Paris) is a version of the Prose Tristan found only in MS. PARIS B.N. fr. 757. In part at least it contains material that has been suppressed in most manuscripts of the Prose Tristan and this version is now generally known as V.I, in part because it was formerly belirved to be an earlier version of the Prose Tristan.

This may not be true, but it does almost certainly contain some old material not included in what became the standard version.

See Prose Tristan, Version I.
